How do you spend your days? What's important in life to you both?
We both work from home mostly. Marek loves exercise - football, running etc. I'm much more lazy and like my sofa and the TV and planning parties (this being the biggest one). We both like to socialise and see lots of our friends and we're also close to our family that are all local. We also love holidays, mostly all inclusive with a pool and cocktails.
Tell us about the proposal.
We have a three year old daughter called Lara and have been together almost seven years. On xmas morning two years ago Marek put her in a babygrow that said "Will you marry my daddy?". I had really been hoping for a proposal but it was the year of lockdown stress so I wasn't expecting it then so it was a lovely surprise.
Why did you want to capture your wedding on video?
It's partly so I can see bits I've missed, I imagine I'll be so distracted. I'm not doing it so I can show off on instagram. It will be a lovely addition to have the highlights video but I'm having it for memories, especially the speeches which I'm sure I'll forget and I'd like to hear what people say when they arrive.
Why did you choose Elmhay Park as the venue?
I've never been to an event there but I'd heard it was beautiful. We could only do a video tour due to covid but we booked it anyway. I like the fact the main room is one big room and people can't go and hide away in the bar all evening, I want people on the dancefloor!
What experience do you want to give to your guests?
I'm hoping it will be Christmassy, wintery, fun and boozy and a thank you to our guests for supporting us both over the years. If it snowed that would be amazing.. but it will probably be mild and drizzly!
